How to connect

Mining in three steps

No account, no signup, no API key. Your NOCK payout address is your login, and the miner never sees a private key.

  1. 1

    Download the miner

    nockforge-zkminer 0.6.8Linux · Windows via WSL2

One tarball, one script, nothing to install. Unpack it next to your GPU and you are ready.

    Get nockforge-zkminer
  2. 2

    Your address is your login

NOCKPOOL_WALLET is your NOCK payout address (base58). It identifies you on the pool and receives every payout. NOCKPOOL_RIG labels the connection, and it is how you choose solo: end it with -solo.

  3. 3

    Start mining

Pool mode: PPLNS over the work of the last 8 network blocks, paid out on-chain as soon as a found block matures.

    Pool modeshell
    ./nockforge --wallet <YOUR_ADDRESS> --device <RIG_NAME>

Solo instead of pool

Same miner, same endpoint. End your rig name with -solo and the finder’s reward is yours alone when you find one, minus the 2% solo fee: no luck-sharing, no pool split, same payout path.

Solo modeshell
./nockforge --wallet <YOUR_ADDRESS> --device <RIG_NAME>-solo

Never a private key

The miner only ever knows your public payout address. If any mining software asks you for a key or seed phrase, it is not ours.

Then look yourself up by address
Payouts

What you get paid, and when

No account balance and no withdrawal button. Payouts run once a day, at 20:00 UTC, and send everything at or above your threshold straight to your address: 100 NOCK by default, adjustable per address on your miner page.

Reward split

PPLNS over the work of the last 8 network blocks, counted backwards from the moment the block is found. Your share of that window is your share of the block, minus the 2% fee.

Solo instead: the finder’s reward is yours, minus the same 2%.

When it lands

A coinbase on Nockchain is time-locked for 100 blocks by consensus. We pay at 106 (6 blocks of reorg margin), about 4 hours after the block, on the next payout run.

Custody

The default threshold is 100 NOCK; set your own between 10 and 100,000 NOCK on your miner page. Below it the amount waits for a later run.

Stop mining and anything already matured still goes out once it reaches your threshold.

Every payout carries a transaction id you can check on nockscan.net. We never ask for a private key or a seed phrase — only your public payout address.
Go it alone

Solo mining — the finder’s reward alone, minus the 2% fee

Same miner, same endpoint: end your rig name with -solo. Find a block and the reward is yours alone, minus the 2% solo fee — no luck-sharing, no pool split, and the same automatic payout path.

zsh — 80x24 · POOL
./nockforge --wallet <YOUR_ADDRESS> --device <RIG_NAME>
SHARE ACCEPTED: accepted
-> credited to the PPLNS window: the work of the last 8 network blocks
-> your share of that window is your share of the block, minus the 2% fee
-> on-chain on the next daily payout run once that block matures
zsh — 80x24 · SOLO
./nockforge --wallet <YOUR_ADDRESS> --device <RIG_NAME>-solo
SHARE ACCEPTED: accepted
-> no window to share: the share only proves your own work
-> find a block and the finder's reward is yours, minus the same 2%
-> same payout path, same maturity, no pool split
# the pool has not found a block yet, pool or solo

Quick start

Replace <YOUR_ADDRESS> with your NOCK payout address and <RIG_NAME> with any label. On Windows, run the same lines inside WSL2.

Linux / WSL2shell
curl -fsSLO https://nockforge.tech/download/nockforge-zkminer-0.6.8.tar.gz && echo "de830ba7cc250bae1a6812548c4850bcfc744dead91e4e5621463880c94d0a22 nockforge-zkminer-0.6.8.tar.gz" | sha256sum -c - && tar xzf nockforge-zkminer-0.6.8.tar.gz && cd nockforge-zkminer-0.6.8 && ./nockforge --wallet <YOUR_ADDRESS> --device <RIG_NAME>

Check the download before you run it: sha256sum nockforge-zkminer-0.6.8.tar.gz must print the sum below, the same one as in SHA256SUMS.

Solo instead of pool: end the rig name with -solo. The script picks the batch size for your card, checks the driver and connects to NockForge at pool.nockforge.tech:27016 by itself.

Build your start file

Nothing leaves this page

Your address and a rig name, and you get a single script that downloads the miner, verifies its checksum and starts it. It is built here in your browser: no request, no account, nothing stored.

Enter your NOCK payout address to build the file.
